Malibu (France, YEAR0001)

It might just be […] the most beautiful music you’ve ever heard. The gorgeousness of it is almost overwhelming" - Pitchfork

Malibu is a French electronic composer whose work sails between ambient and ethereal music. Forever inspired by soft reverbed vocals and melodic chord progressions, Malibu's sound is immersive, like a sea of synthetic strings and choirs, nostalgic and weightless at once.
Every month she explores the same ideas in her radio show United in Flames on NTS Radio, with the help of various guests. 'One Life' is Malibu's first EP, released in November 2019 on both Joyful Noise Recordings and UNO NYC. One Life was one of the best albums of 2019 according to Pitchfork, FACT, Discogs & Gorilla vs Bear.
It is followed by EP 'Palaces of Pity', released in November 2022 on UNO NYC. She will be releasing her anticipated debut album this fall on Swedish record label YEAR0001.

Rắn Cạp Đuôi (Vietnam)

Instead of hitting snooze on the end of the world, they dance towards its salvation and provide a dewy glimpse of what might lie on the other side” - Pitchfork

Rắn Cạp Đuôi has been at the forefront of sound art and experimental music in Vietnam since their formation in 2015. Their anachronistic musical approach ranges from a nonstop 48-hour performance in local gallery (Amoeba, 2018) to three-drum improvisations (Boiler Room: Sài Gòn, 2022). Recent partnerships with institutions including Humboldt University (Hồi Sóng / (r)tu(r)ne, 2020-2024), Liquid Architecture, and the Goethe Institut (Nusasonic, 2022), have pushed their practice into the fields of ethnomusicology and music archaeology. The collective’s practice plays with the spontaneity and impermanence of sound through innovative compositions that challenge traditional structures and sound design.

Travis Cook

The underground reigning king of the remix” - CityMag

Travis Cook is a distinctive producer best known for their work as part of the long distance electronic pop duo Collarbones alongside Sydney’s Marcus Whale, and collaborations with a broad range of artists including Flume, Banoffee and the Australian Dance Theatre.
Solo track “headknocker” was named one of the top 10 Adelaide singles of 2022 by CityMag, with full-length album The Prodigy deemed an ‘incendiary simulacrum of a retro future, a maddening mosaic of archival material, cut up and stitched back together with experimental electronica as the glue’.
